Soul in 5 Form
Mavi Art Group

This exhibition, “Soul in 5 Form,” held at the Etobicoke Civic Center Art Gallery, stands as both a record of our collaborative journey and a testament to the values that sustain Mavi Art Group: creativity, memory, unity, and enduring hope. Through the works presented here, we witness the dialogue between past and present, between those who have left us and those who carry the mission
forward. Art, in its most profound form, continues to unite us, guide us, and illuminate the path ahead.

Roots and Wings

We designed Roots and Wings as an exhibition that brings together the two fundamental forces that shape both our lives and our art: the hearts of our heritage and the wings of our imagination.

This exhibition brings together Turkish-Canadian contemporary artists whose practices reflect the richness of memory and the courage of innovation. Through painting, collage, sculpture, and mixed media, the works explore how belonging and freedom can coexist — how one’s roots do not restrain but rather nourish the wings of creative expression.

Coinciding with Republic Day, Roots and Wings also celebrates shared values of heritage, freedom, and creativity. It is an invitation for viewers to reflect on their own journeys, to reconnect with where they come from, and to open their wings toward future possibilities.
